Use audio track 2 on MPEG-2
A/V sync on the MPEG-4 file is terrible, off by ~30 seconds. The MPEG-2 file plays perfectly in VLC, I just had to choose audio "Track 2". For some reason the file has 32 audio tracks but only track 2 is valid.

MPEG-2 is indeed BROKEN
VLC will play the MPG2 with NO AUDIO, but technically the file is broken and cannot be converted or loaded into any programs. Consistent reports of "corrupt or broken file."
Too bad, so sad.
